HUDSON, NH – LorenJoseph Blair died peacefully at the Concord Hospice House on August4, 2018 after a long illness. Loren was born on September 13, 1934 inJaffrey to his parents Malion and Germaine Blair. He graduated fromJaffrey High School and later enlisted in the US Navy. While in the Navy, he served as amachinist mate and traveled to Europe, South America, and the FarEast. Upon completing hisactive duty commitment, he served in the Naval Reserves until heretired in 1978. Lorenmarried Christine Wheeler on December 30, 1957. Together they raisedthree sons. Loren workedat Kollsman in Merrimack, NH as a machinist until he retired in 2007. Throughout his life,Loren enjoyed being outdoors and loved to hunt and fish. Loren waspredeceased by his wife Christine and his two brothers Malion andFrank. He is survived by his sonLoren Jr. and daughter-in-law Doris of Abbeville, South Carolina; hisson Stephen anddaughter-in-law Monica of Bow, NH; his son Daniel and daughter-in-lawMargaret of Springfield, VA;his sisters Marion Robinson of Jaffrey, and Marie Gravel of Troy, NH;his sister-in-law Gloriaof Jaffrey; sister-in-law Mary Ann of Winchester, MA; 4 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 2great-grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of ChristianBurial will take place at 11:00 on August 27, 2018, at St. PatrickCatholic Church in Jaffrey.He will be interned at 9:00 on August 28, 2018, at the VeteransCemetery in Boscawen, NH. Inlieu of flowers, donations are being accepted by Concord HospiceHouse in Loren’s memory.
